HyNorth Participates in the Interreg ValHyCon Project
HyNorth is a partner in ValHyCon (Connecting & Upscaling Hydrogen Valleys), a project funded under the Interreg North-West Europe (NWE) programme. Interreg supports cooperation between European regions to address shared societal and economic challenges. Through ValHyCon, eight Hydrogen Valleys from Belgium, Germany, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands are working together to further develop an interconnected hydrogen economy.
The objective of ValHyCon is to connect and scale up existing and emerging Hydrogen Valleys. By promoting knowledge exchange, implementing joint pilot projects, and developing a shared implementation strategy, the project aims to accelerate the deployment of hydrogen across North-West Europe. In doing so, ValHyCon contributes to the energy transition, cleaner industrial processes, and greater European energy independence.
Within the project, HyNorth represents the Northern Netherlands Hydrogen Valley and collaborates with the other participating Hydrogen Valleys to strengthen cross-border cooperation and help build a future-proof hydrogen network across North-West Europe.
